Sadly, I agree Shiavui.
The only possible way I see any sort of future for Doctor Who is for the BBC to pull the plug on this show as soon as they can, give it a good rest for a while (to let the true fans properly mourn and miss the show, plus allow the bitterness and resentment to fade), then hopefully someday relaunch the show with a new Doctor, some new TALENTED writers who will show some respect for the show's history and for the longtime fans, and restore Doctor Who to the wonderful, entertaining program it has been, instead of the SJW talking point-infested lecturefest it has become, shoving PC garbage down the throats of fans who are treated as the enemy if they dare to admit they liked the previous Doctors and do not embrace Doctor Woke as the one true Doctor.
Maybe they will end up having to do a massive retcon to explain that Doctor Woke never was The Doctor, but was an imposter attempting to steal his remaining regenerations, that show canon regarding Time Lords and Time Ladies has always been true (putting an end to all the silly gender-swapping), and that was why the TARDIS ejected the invading lifeform who took over The Doctor's body between Peter Capaldi's Doctor and The Doctor he was supposed to become - the next male incarnation. Perhaps "she" even believed she was The Doctor, or perhaps knew the truth all along. Maybe Doctor Woke is simply an amalgam of The Doctor's "feminine side" in a similar way to how The Valeyard was an amalgam of The Doctor's dark side. Once The Doctor makes peace with it, or defeats it, then he can go on to regenerate as intended.
Then again, they might just say, "Yeah, sorry about that. We're going to be bringing you proper Doctor Who now, with a proper Doctor, so just forget all that SJW nonsense."
