Two weeks to flatten the curve. Two months to stop the spread. Just until a vaccine is here. Not even after a vaccine is here.

Everyone has to get a vaccine... but you still have to wear a mask because the vaccine doesn't stop the spread of the virus... it only prevents symptoms of the virus?

Isn't that what an immune system already does? I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great!

So, while the WHO is telling everyone that there is "no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission", scientists were already working on a human vaccine. Is it normal to begin working on a human vaccine... before it's even determined that a virus can be transmitted between humans?

we dont even know how long this vaccine will work for if its only active for 3 weeks or 3 months or 3 years or forever. we dont know because it hasnt been tested for long period of time (impossible to do so)

From what I understand, the HIV genome is sequenced and well-studied so they just synthesized the gene responsible for producing the protein and inserted it into bacteria, no live virus required. It seems similar to the mechanism through which the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna mRNA vaccines make your muscle cells produce the COVID spike protein. I couldn't actually find anything really related to the vaccine, in relation to how the clamping proteins were obtained, but I did find an info package for an HIV vaccine trial that basically reiterated the same thing (about synthetically procuring), which is good... as long as it's cheaper and faster to synthetically produce it, there should be no issues in that regard. I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great!
