How is it " fear mongering " when the final stage of testing is on humans?

Yah okay, so offer the truth in full & let the reader decide.

Because like you said, Covid vaccinations are still under testing, not out for mass distribution and being given to everyone.

If a person wants to research the risks of vaccinations along with how good vaccinations have been for the world as a whole also, then that's absolutely fine, it's good to get a factual and balanced look at these things.

Like I said, while we shouldn't hide or play down risk, we live in and around risk and assess it every single day of our lives. But you posting a link here to a video all about how these particular things go wrong will do nothing but fear-monger, especially when we're not even out of trials yet for a new potential Covid vaccine and don't even know what the outcome(s) will be.

If you wish to further question the decision to remove your post, you're welcome to use FMR to have Jagex review that decision.

Thanks

I'd guess Health Workers will be the first group to be offered any vaccine that passes trials, possibly followed by high risk individuals such as transplant patients and cancer sufferers.

It would appear the British Govt have kind of signed a deal with GlaxoSmithKline plc (a British company) and AstraZeneca (a British-Swedish multinational), and Valneva (French).

They're probably talking to a lot more companies but these appear to be the front-runners so far as the UK is concerned. Whether or not any of these trials pass muster remains to be seen.
(Source: various news articles readily accessible on the internet).

I'd certainly be willing to have a vaccination; the huge benefits of mass vaccination against specific diseases has been proven time and time again.

Whilst children and the young do not seem to suffer the same outcomes from Covid as older (or compromised) people, The Lancet has done a small survey which points to some disturbing results in that regard:

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanchi/article/PIIS2352-4642(20)30175-9/fulltext

So, I'm very much looking forward to the development of a successful vaccine so we can all pretty much kiss goodbye to this menace the same as we have done to polio, smallpox, measles, diptheria etc. etc.

Of course, people will still get Covid. Those in remote areas with no access to medical help and those in mainstream society who prefer to get ill and potentially spread it around. But most of us will, no doubt, benefit from advances in medical science.

On a local note: UK cases are currently rising fast.

For the second day running newly reported cases are up at 3,000 (from 1,300) and the Govt. is reducing the legal limit of gatherings from 30 down to 6 - with large fines for breaking this rule (excepting work and school).

Local town lockdowns continue, mainly in the North and Northwest of the country. It seems parts of Wales are not faring well.

We're a long way from defeating this *sigh*

So my home county in Wales is the first to go back into local lockdown :(

While I'm not there anymore as I live abroad, it's sad to see with a lot of my family and friends still living there :( I just hope they can curb it as soon as possible.

Us in Toronto (and Ontario as a whole) while not going back into any sort of lockdown (yet) we have been told any further openings/progress will be paused until October.

I had a Covid test on Monday too, it sucked lol... Such a weird and bizarre feeling!

@Inspire you, that's not how it works, you know it and we won't tolerate a complete and utter disregard for the rules and the community.

I read in The Times ( UK ) that there has been a study in Germany of the hearts of 100 people who had recently recovered from Covid-19. They discovered 78 of them, mostly young with no previous health problems, now had abnormalities and 60 of them had endocarditis. No-one should be complacent about this threat to health.
I found the article in the newspaper on Tuesday 8th September, page 26. The bit about the research was in the last column.
edit to add: there was no mention of how ill the patients had been. I assumed it was at the more severe end.

I found this article this morning where a man in England used a large live snake as a face mask :O OMG - the things people do :D

Bus passenger uses live snake as a face mask
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/09/16/uk/man-snake-face-covering-bus-intl-scli-gbr/index.html

People just have disregard for others:
Wellington man brags about riding public transport without mask
https://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/news/wellington/wellington-man-brags-about-riding-public-transport-without-mask/#ath

I have read many articles where people refuse to wear masks around the world where the pandemic is ripe and their words are I don't care if I get it <- these people have have no respect or morals for others around them...

I was on the bus yesterday morning when this woman came on to the bus she had a headscarf on, she was holding the face-covering over her face which kept falling, she sat in the middle of me and another man and his young toddler. letting her face covering go, using her phone, fixing her makeup, etc. I wanted to say to her 'most of the country have respect for there fellow passengers by wearing a face mask, why don't you'??? I didn't!
If fat means flavour then I'm ******* delicious!
