I've been reading lately that the UK is apparently in very short supply of home testing kits for Covid and that, in any case, labs are back-logged with looking at tests sent in.
I was surprised on Friday to receive a letter from the NHS asking me to take part in some sort of survey by doing a home test (which they would supply me with). Apparently the test will show whether I have Covid at the point in time I undertake it but not whether I have already had it.
Wtf? Use these tests on people that are presenting themselves with symptoms so that the poor sods know if they've got it, or not, and can receive appropriate treatment
Or utilise their stupid survey kits on the people that matter, like Care Workers and other frontline staff - don't waste them on anonymous people who haven't sought them out. What a shameful and pointless use of allegedly scarce resources.
Up to 150 million could slip into extreme poverty, World Bank says

I'm interested in what'll happen to Australians come the 01/01/2021 that are still unemployed.
As of that date the given supplement will be reduced back to the pre-Covid payment of $562.00 a fortnight.
I can't see how people that have mortgages to pay can are going to be able to make their payments or simply survive for that matter. Also a turnaround in the job market doesn't indicate that within two & a half months all jobs lost will be restored seeing how many businesses have gone under.

I understand your point of view and somewhat agree with it however I think the idea behind these random tests is to assess the %age in the general population who have Covid
without
any symptoms. I can see the need to get a general idea of the extent of the infection across the country.

I got the letter as well few weeks back and it was for the Anti-body test to see if I had any anti-bodies.
The test said it will not say if I've had it or not just shows up if I have any anti-body.
I know I've had Covid back in February and was sick as a dog for weeks and still suffering with breathing issues. Anyway the test said I had no anti-bodies lol. None at all. So a waste of time for me. I still say and my Doctor still says I've had it also my chest still says I've had it as it's still hard to breath still after all this time.

What happens if you sneeze whilst wearing a mask?
That happens.
Disclaimer
. If you have a weak tummy do not look.
Is one expected to eat what has travelled out of their nose or is there some other protocol that is followed?

You know and I know and everyone esle knows if you have a sneeze coming on and have a mask you take precautions. You have a tissue ready to catch anything.
You don't have to sneeze with the mask on. You make sure you have tissues. If you do sneeze with mask on then always have a spare incase of accidents.
No law says you have to sneeze into the mask. It's common sense what to do. Hands do not count as you touch things they contaminate what ever you touch.
So to recap.
1. Feel a sneeze coming on.
2. Get ready with tissue.
3. Pull down mask sneeze into tissue. Wipe and pull mask back up.
4. Dispose of tissue into a bin.
5. Sanatize hands again.
