I dug out this link for a news item from February this year. Its about how effective vaccines are in preventing transmission.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55913913

I forgot to say that they do help reduce transmission.

It still not an absolute:
The results of the study, which has not yet been formally published, suggest that the vaccine
may
have a "substantial" effect on transmission of the virus.

It means the jab
could
have a greater impact on the pandemic, as each person who is vaccinated will indirectly protect other people too.

The words used in this article is saying the same thing as mine.

Dong your article states this with regards to transmission....

- If I get vaccinated, at least I won't be contagious to others - right?
No, the vaccine doesn't stop transmission.

So actually that isn't saying the same as the other article.

Yours says no, Megycal says may have a substantial effect.
Remember Caz. Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It's true though the vaccine
doesn't
stop transmission it
may
have a "substantial" effect on transmission, it
doesn't
stop it though.

Again, it goes back to how it's worded. But again, please don't take medical advice from a solicitor who has no education or professional background in the medical field.

You're quoting a non-medical person stating it categorically does not help with transmission when we actually have multiple studies and statements based on those studies, from people actually in the field of vaccines and contagious diseases that show very positive signs that it does help reduce transmission, therefore making the solicitor's statement false and invalid.

It's as simple as that.

I have to agree with Joel.
Medical advice from a solicitor must the the worst possible option. If you want uninformed medical advice you are better off getting it from the man in the pub. That has a better expectation of being funny.

I think the general relaxation of rules that had been scheduled for the 21st June in England should be delayed by at least 2 weeks. That would give more time for the under 30's to be vaccinated. My youngest son is getting his first jab on Monday. :D
