Covid-19 has not been going for 10 years. Or are you predicting that things won't have changed 9 years from now?
Survival rate isn't everything, the most severely ill take a very long time to recover and some may never get back to their normal health state.. There is also the problem of long Covid which can affect people who didn't even need to go to hospital. One of the regular guests on a BBC programme has been left with heart problems. He is a doctor and caught the virus last year.
Covid 19 is NOT like the flu. It is more infectious and it can have devastating effects on the whole body not just the respiratory system.

I say it will last another 2-3 years, currently we are failing to fight this battle.

Year 1, all we gained is a vaccine while covid gets stronger, faster spreading so it's just going to bounce around like ping pong ball, Over and over again.

Yes, it's going to be doing it's thing for awhile yet.

I still don't feel vaccine every man and his dog, just those that are vulnerable, elderly and frontline workers. We need to be able to build our own defences against virus; our future virus are going to get stronger and more tricky, so we need to become stronger, Covid has proven this.

Sorry I disagree. The more people who catch the virus the more chance it has to develop mutations. If one develops that can evade the vaccines we'd all be back to square one.

Vaccines do allow our immune systems to develop immunoglobulins (antibodies) against the virus, without the risks associated with actually becoming infected. This also means less room for mutations to occur. And as it is a coronavirus (much like SARS, MERS, the common cold, etc.), immune response is rather short lived, so you would need to repeatedly catch the virus in order to keep your immunity up. The best way to do this is just have annual vaccinations, as is the case for seasonal flu.

This conversation has been had before, several times. Some people have an ongoing inability to grasp the basic concepts of herd immunity and the short/long term effects of mass immunisation. They also change their mind about whether it's a good or bad thing then deny they'd previously said anything, even when their previous posts are reproduced for them to examine.

Anyway .... there's talk here in the UK of all adults being able to have twice weekly flow tests to check for infection.

The Ole Man returned to work end of last week and his company are implementing this already. They get it done at the end of their shift and receive a text on the way home with the results. His firm have made it mandatory for all staff.

Idk how it'll work for everyone else and it'll surely be a hefty expense for whoever is paying for the test kits. A case of wait and see.

I'd have thought a test before starting a shift would be more appropriate. Its a bit late if you test positive at the end and have been working all day. O_o

This is an interesting article on the BBC website about vitamin D.

White House chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said Monday that Americans should continue to get two doses of the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines, despite a recent U.S. study that showed the shots are highly effective after just one dose.:
CNBC: Fauci says two doses of Pfizer's or Moderna's Covid vaccines are better than one to protect against variants.

I understand that.

I still feel with viruses getting stronger, our bodies need build resistance too. I feel if we keep getting vaccinated our bodies are going to grow weaker. This is already been seen with more disabilities, immunity problems, health problems, allergies etc, it hasn't been said this is due to vaccines, the way we are going our bodies are getting weaker, viruses are getting stronger....

We need to build our bodies up against future virus naturally.

Not this again. (your not Trolling your own thread by any chance are you)
Do you still do not take in the actual verifiable scientific information that has been posted many times about this.
Virus's do not work this way. You can not "build resistance" to some thing that will keep adapting and changing. What resistance you get this week if you get the virus and survive (millions have total resistance now because they are dead) will not be any good next week when a newer strain of the virus emerges.

I know that.

I feel if we keep immunizing our bodies our bodies will lose the ability to fight against stronger viruses and other diseases. As I said already more people are being born with disabilities, immunity problems, allergies etc <- this is my beliefs, my thoughts.
