There's a minority of people with my physical condition. Anyone else with their mask on their upper lip or chin is a fuckwit or a Denier imo.
If the shingles don't get you, Covid might.
What's this to do with incorrect wearing of masks or anything I've said recently on this thread (which is about Covid, not Shingles, in case you hadn't noticed)?
I don't have Shingles any more, have not had for many months, and Covid 'might get' anyone.
Really, unless you've got something actually relevant to say it's probably better to say nothing despite your desperation to reach out and assuage the torment of me not noticing you. I am not your Senpai.
Is a double mask really better than a single?

With the new stronger Covid variant out, they are now saying to double or triple your mask. With each added layer the percentage of protection goes up. With 2 layers of the tight weave mask 75% protection and 90% protection with 3 layers of the tight weave mask.
They also say you are not protected at all with beards, shave them off they say.

This is false information, based on the misinterpretation of a single study that was done.
Nothing in the study says that wearing 3 masks provide 90% protection. The "3 masks" that are being referred to is actually a 3 layer mask, with the the third layer in the center being a filter layer". The "double mask" referenced in the study isn't two cloth masks, it's a surgical mask with a cloth mask on top.
But who cares what the actual science says, the TV says "wear 3 masks". COMPLY.
Like, somehow, during this whole pandemic, not a single scientist ever thought "hey, what happens if you wear two masks?" but now it's a scientific breakthrough to wear more than one mask? The science has changed!
As for the beards, why do you think that having a beard makes wearing a mask ineffective? Is it because the mask doesn't seal on the face? Because, well, the whole point of the facemask is to stop "small droplets" that project from your mouth when you talk, or cough, etc. It's not designed to stop aerosolized vapors. If having a beard renders a facemask ineffective due to it not being sealed against the face, then EVERY face mask fails for the exact same reason. Face masks do not stop aerosolized vapors.
It's like when people complain that others aren't wearing their mask over their nose. Covering your nose with a mask provides no additional protection to anyone, unless your nose is really runny and spraying droplets everywhere, but, if that's the case, you probably have a cold and should stay home.
I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great!
