When I planted my 4 rhubarb crowns in their tubs I also scattered 100's of wild flower seeds and then covered it all in 3-4 inch of bark.

Checked today the rhubarb is doing well.

There are lots of shoots showing. Can't wait to see what flowers they show. The Bees will love them all. Growing them just for the bees and other things that like them.

If my rhubarb grows well I can put it in the rhubarb plot next year. See how that goes.

I put some plastic coated chicken wire around my rhubarb yesterday.

Took less then 10 mins but a very painful 10 mins. I was in total agony bending over and stapling it to my raised boards and corner posts. Wanted to do my gooseberry plants too but sod it. They can wait.

It now stops the dog shitting all over my rhubarb lol. My fauly I covered it all with chicken shit and dog rolls in it.

1 rhubabrb plant is massive in just 2-3 weeks. Be picking next week it's that big. Can't wait. Other 4 plants there way too tiny yet.

I've just lost a baby rhubarb in my spare tubs. Dog was standing on top of it digging it out. She ripped off the 3 leaves.....

I hope it grows back.

I can't get over my dog doing it lol.

I wonder why Shes so attracted to the bark chippings on top of the tubs. She just won't leave it alone. :@

This is the strange bush/tree I have in my garden that I never planted. It just grew. Maybe from birds.

From what I can tell it's a Catkin of somesort. Always wanted 1 so this 1 will be nice to have in my garden. Just not sure it will stay where it is or move into the back garden out of the way.

I also have another strange 1 in a tub thats jsut been found. Just tiny leaves on it right now. Get pictures soon as I have no idea what that 1 is either.

Been busy in my garden over the weekend for a change.

Cut the grass with my petrol strimmer as it was too long for mower. Had to wait till all my 3000+ crocus died back before I could cut it.

Raked up yesterday and filled my brown bin to over flowing.

Planted up 2 big 75l planters filled with Dahilas. Should be a nice show in a few months.

Be back at it later as I have a bedding plot to weed out. I let it get out of hand lol. Just hope the Sun stays out. ;)

The flower part looks like Callistemon (Yellow Bottlebrush shrub) but the leaves are wrong. Might be Fothergilla (Mountain Witch Alder)?

I've got nothing strange going on in my garden as yet, just the usual self-sown (or squirrel sown) oak trees. Planted out some Cosmos and marigolds at the weekend .... please no more early morning mini-frosts !
