Another update from me too.

My form with gardening continues - another two dead plants. They were gifts from friends, who deliberately sourced a plant that is hard to kill, knowing my success with plants.

I seem to be a mass-murderer of plants. :(

I repotted/separated all of my plants. They all have their own pots now.

Some of those pots are plastic cups but hey, I ran out of pots. And the cups are going to work great for when I give them away lol

Hoping to do that in the next few weeks. I want them to be a liiiittle more established before they go off to their new homes.

I'm also a bit sunburnt, shockingly enough.

I've spent the last 2 days digging out some metal posts that held up my hand rail that went up my path. They were cut off at ground lvl but I had to dig them out as they took up too much garden plant space as they were concreted in 2 feet wide and 6-8 inches deep and then 8-10 inch of hard core. Bugger to dig out so had to use chissle and rather large mash hammer.

They are all out now and my poor hands are aching. I have 5 empty plots now 2-3 feet long and 1 foot wide with no plants. Time to find some fillers for Autum when I put in daffs and tulips for next spring.

Been wanting to dig the bars out for 4-5 years lol. Now they ahve gone and makes me feel the garden is looking good.

Planning autums bulbs now ready for spring. Should have another good show.

Real bad weather has stopped me from doing my garden today.

My 3 gooseberry plants arrived yesterday and I've yet to make the raised bed for them. Now the rain is here it's going to be 2-3 more days before that can be done. Got everything ready just need the sun.

Looking forward to planting them and maybe just maybe some gooseberries this summer. :P

I bought a tray of sweet william plants a few days ago. I now need better weather to plant them. I just hope the rain and wind doesn't batter them too much. I don't have a cold frame or greenhouse so they're in a sheltered ( I hope ) spot in the garden.

In a battle of attitrtion over my vegetable garden with the local tree rat population. Rabbits on the other hand, not a problem, my husband, and friends put me up a nice chicken wire fence that is four foot high around it, and buried a foot deep. Birds and snails and slugs have not been a problem either thanks to the scare methods and traps I have set out.

For the birds, some cheap disposable pie tins tied to a few poles set out worked. Snails and slugs, some traps laid out baited with cheap stale beer does that trick. But those damned tree rats, oh no brazen, cheeky little things. So any that are caught in my garden end up skinned and in my freezer until I have enough for a nice mess of fried squirrel. You would think they would have learned by now that their brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles go into my garden, but yet do not return.

I have even tried fox urine around the outside, as well as my dogs, but that does not phase them. So the final solution became an air powered pellet rifle.
Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.
