Sensitivity writers have rewritten multiple Roald Dahl's books to make them "less offensive. For example the word fat has been removed and replaced with enormous. Do you think this will get children into reading his children's books? My answer is no. I need my blue charms back.

The formal term for this is "Bowdlerization" - named after English physician Thomas Bowdler (1754–1825), who published a censored version of Shakespeare's plays in 1818.

Absolutely pathetic - which is why various authors have spoken up against it.

Personally, I like Phillip Pullman's response: "If it does offend us, let him go out of print." Otherwise, let it be, instead of editing all the soul out of the words.

When I hear something like this I talk to my mum because she has been a librarian all her life and knows a lot about books and authors etc, and she reckons its ridiculous.

Personally I think its partly because Roald Dahl has passed away, if he was alive he would object to it.
