Well, I've marked the Yes box on my copy of the Australian same-sex marriage survey, and I'll put it in the post tomorrow. Doing my part for all my LGBTIAQ+ brothers and sisters and non-binary siblings!
I too have just sent in my vote. A big
YES
! Abstaining is just as unhelpful as voting no – remember, every yes vote counts!
And thank you, Chief
I picked this name specifically because I love the forums so much!

@MotherlyGoat - If you have an issue with a thread, then report it to Forum Help - which you know to do. Do not backseat moderate here on the thread nor post disrespectfullly. Since I've already moderating the thread by hiding your inappropriate post, the appropriate path would be to post on Forum Moderation review if you disagree with: This thread breaks no forum rules and is a positive contribution to the forums. You have been continually posting inflammatory and inappropriate content in the forums. Please make better choices the next time you post.
In addition to hiding Motherly's post, I've hidden some that relate to it, even though they were positive in their support of this thread, because continuing down that path is off topic and disruptive to the thread.
in another situation here on the thread
@Kale100 and MotherlyGoat - Please refrain from making inflammatory remarks. If you can't post respectfully, then please do not post at all.

Homelessness LGBT individuals are faced with inadequate housing and services to cater for their specific needs. 40 to 50% of homeless youth in New York City's stress identify as LGBT. They have been forced into homelessness because of rejection or thrown out of their homes or have attempted to escape from an abusive situation. In 2014, same-sex couples were not able to access family housing in the shelter system in the US. Transgender individuals were not allowed to choose which gender they were more comfortable living in the shelter system. LGBT homeless individuals were exposed to abuse and harassment in the shelter system.
Homelessness without the necessary economic support can lead to frequent engagement in drug use, risky sexual behaviours and development of mental health disorders. Homeless LGBT youth miss out on education and social support during their critical development years. More than half of homeless LGBT youth report experiencing discrimination from peers.
I've thought of an idea for anything in general
(Including but not limited to this issue)
, why can't we make a regulation that prevents parents from simply kicking out their offspring/youth from property including when being in adulthood without a legitimate prove-able reason like extreme violence or crime and also unless they have somewhere to go
(like owning their own house)
? Abolish the notion that parents have the right to their offspring as property and start treating them as individuals more.
(Note: I am not LGBT but suspect myself to be non-traditional gender representing in some mannerisms of behavior/mentality, I don't wear 'skirts' or anything like that irl.)

As long as they are under 18, then sure.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known
