I am not really comfortable with this process ..snip..

Yeah, I'm not thrilled about it either - this Practice is next to a busy A-road. Luckily Rosie is a lazy old galoot who never does anything more unpredictable than scratch her left ear instead of her right ear.

Hopefully, by the time the others are needing any Vet attention, things will have returned to normal. Or normal-ish at least.

Incidentally .... have you had your knee sorted out yet? !!

Unfortunately Sid is still a very massive, delinquent dog, Covid put paid to his puppy classes and socialisation and so the thought of some tiny little wench coming out of the vets and trying to hold him fills me with terror.

And yes thanks Fifi, went in on Friday and back out on Saturday. They don`t hang about anymore, as long as you can walk down the corridor and up and down the stairs it is off home. Not too bad, all seems well and not so terribly painful.. But within another few days will go stir crazy.

Had it done in a swanky private hospital who are doing the NHS orthopaedic operations here at the moment, so the stay there was rather comfortable. Was actually quite gutted that I got sent home before partaking of the rather elaborate dinner that one chooses from a large menu the night before. :P

'Sid the Delinquent Dog' - heh heh, I like that.

Our youngest beastie is a Jack Russell, one year old now, who is merely slightly wayward.
Although she did remove a large section of the wallpaper in the hallway one night at the beginning of Summer. Bless her little cotton socks :|

Gosh you are lucky to get a referral to a private facility. Last time I was an In Patient was about 20 years ago, at a mouldering old pile (since demolished) which brought to mind films about deserted lunatic asylums haunted by homicidal ex-inmates. Dreadful place and I was stuck there for a week, food was shocking and the communal showers (!!) were all high ceilings and cracked eau-de-nil tiles.

Chin up with the recovery period - dream dreams of gentle jogging with Sid (or at least, frantically giving chase as he charges off in pursuit of something terribly interesting).

Thanks Fifi for your good wishes. Very much appreciated..

I am glad your girl is showing signs of maturity now. I will live in hope that the same will happen to us. Our boy has got a super nature, but just flattens everything and everyone he meets with enthusiasm to see them.

I did go in the car yesterday when the `auld fella` took him out for his walk, as I thought at least I could sit with a thermos mug of coffee and look at the changing leaves while they went, but it was a complete waste of time. A local farmer has lent us the use of 20 acres of his land where we can exercise him at the moment, but every time he was let off the lead he just kept coming back to see where I was bless him. Still he got quite a good run by going backwards and forwards between the two of us

Same.

I'm other news, one of my doggos is having surgery on Monday and the other is having a sample sent to the lab. Fingers crossed for good news for both.

2020 is really sucking the life out of me. And it's even harder because I can't even physically be there.

Both those doggos are my babies :c ugh. I just want to cry. I already lost one pet this year.... And again, wasn't able to be there. It's been awful.

Not good. So sorry. I know that pain. We waited two and a half years before we got Sidney after losing Allie. Have had six Dobies now and still think about and miss everyone of them

I do hope the outcome for both dogs is a good one.

Just wondering - are there any aviation enthusiasts within the RS community? I'm a pilot myself, so I'd love to meet up with some like-minded people who love the skies as much as I do!
i enjoy some aviation
