I might be dyslexic or something because over the years rs players in these forums have tried to coach me on the correct use of 'your' and 'you're', and 'to' and 'too'. Even my mum who is a librarian has tried to explain it but my mind freezes.
For "your" and "you're", it's quite simple, really.
Read the sentence out loud twice, saying "your" for the first time, and "you are" (two separate words) for the second time.
For instance: "You're going to have to hold the fort." "You are going to have to hold the fort."
Saying "you are" also sounds correct, therefore you should spell it as "you're".
Second instance: "This is your bag." "This is you are bag."
