No, because UK law only applies to the UK, not to the rest of the world.

Pikelets isn't a common name for them here. They would just be called Crumpets.

Depends on your situation I guess. If you haven't eaten for days because you have no food, and you've spent all your money on gas getting to work, and then you're told that you're not going to be getting paid for all the work you have done... people snap.
