I can agree to an extent. If people want to discuss mild politics here, then fine. But if it is just shitposting to get a rise out of the other side, then they can use the other chat thread. And if the topic is an ongoing poltical issue, like trump or obama or whatever, then yeah, use the other thread. To be absolutely fair, if any topic takes over a chat thread, then it should have its own thread anyway.

I mean, people already want a separate place for politics, so at least this is a start. And I fail to see why it is a bad thing. And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

I brought this up with a community Jmod when it was pages upon pages of whatever it was at the time and they said nope it's allowed.
