I made one. If the powers that be d not wish to separate political chatter from off-topic chatter then that is their decision. I couldn't agree more that people should be able to opt-in or opt-out whenever they want - and consolidating political chatter in that thread is the best way,

Yeah but people who come to the chat lounge can't opt in or out of seeing politics, which can dominate the chat for extended periods. Some people want to come here and talk about their favorite colour or their ideal vacation.

Alright, we can forget General, since that sub-forum sucks balls. Rants is meh these days, but it's still an alternative if people want to use a chat thread.

My only advice to the people that can't handle the current state of affairs is to simply stop using these forums.
