Oh ive seen u and revives little snk rants im always watching ...I expect it from revive I mean he hates everything popular but come on a 6? really?on another note mm! was my show after lotgh just what i needed at the time.

Why not watch the original Aquarion? Same thing with Macross Frontier, you should watch the original Macross and all the other ones.

And yes SnK is 6/10 material. I already know what happens next in the manga and I don't want to spoil anything, but does anybody really think Eren is dead? Just wait for the dumbest plot twist ever. Typical shounen bull****. I can't even take the titans seriously either, they all have funny looking faces and run around like school girls. I was laughing so hard at episodes 5 and 6. If this story was intelligently written as a seinen, I would probably have it at a 9/10.

Are there seriously people who actually hate SnK for anything other than being too popular? I don't ever read manga, but I was so intrigued by the show that I had to read the source material. I know the titan animations are goofy but it's not quite QUALITY level apart from the titan running like a T-Rex in episode 6 and kicking a guy who flies in a straight line. I personally don't have any particular fascination with the characters - Eren is admittedly a pretty typical shonen protagonist. I think it's the plot that drives the show. Also, don't forget the god-tier OST.

Revive, what do you mean by saying the story isn't intelligently written? I know there are lots of "Frodos" but most of the obvious questions are explained later on. There aren't many plot holes other than how Eren didn't realize he had latent titan powers for a couple years and never transformed on accident prior to getting eaten. There are lots of unresolved questions, but plot holes? Not so much.

Well the manga for snk is average enough (admittedly i have not watched the anime of yet) however the character are just kind of there, they rarely get any development to them at all. and the later parts of the manga (and even in the beginning just not as prevalent) relies on a string of twists and the gore factor to keep it exciting that it just starts to seem repetitive

I didn't mean that the show had any plot holes, I said "intelligently written as a seinen." We have Eren who is your standard obnoxious shounen teenager "I'M GONNA GO KILL EVERYTHING AND NOTHING WILL STOP ME BECAUSE I'M THE GREATEST" and then we have Mikasa... The cool beauty who's perfect at everything. How original.

Then the story... This would've have been great had the writer not through in super powers (and those flying contraptions, how do those work anyway?). I would've preferred a story relying solely on battle tactics and realistic plans to rid them of the titans. But NOPE. Eren all the sudden gets hax powers and all will be good with the world.

This doesn't mean the story isn't entertaining though. I'm just not a fan of shounen elements. I would give it a 7/10 (good) but I have it at a 6/10 (fine) to try to counterbalance all the fanboyism. An 8.95 score and the 10th highest rated anime on MAL after 8 episodes? That's ridiculous no matter what show it is.
