I know what you mean. Since Lucky Start dosent really have a plot or anything its possible to watch it without having to worry about the whole 'there's no suspense because I already know what happens' thing. Sometimes I just watch a random episode of it for the hell of it.
Anywho's, just finished reading the first Sword Art Online novel. The premise of a death game and the human psychology behind it is something ive always enjoyed, and since the anime was jumping around so much (understandable, since the novel more or less starts the story proper from the 74th floor) I decided to just go ahead and read the thing. I must say that it was pretty good, much better paced then the anime has been so far (though I expect it will be better when it eventually gets the side stories out of the way).
Not to sure about the ending though, seems kind of anti-climactic and a bit of a cop out to me. The reasoning behind the whole occurrence was pretty flimsy as well.
But that's the weird thing, the end of volume one is actually the end of the story. I know volume two is short stories set in between the first volumes events, but I havent got a clue what the other volumes are about...
PS -Wish I could find chapter 16.5, which is supposedly of a highly *ahem* erotic nature. It was translated, but since it wasnt part of the actual book release (released online by the original author) the translation has vanished form the internet.
