Anime can be pretty weird some times, but Japanese cinema can be even weirder. For example, try looking up a trailer for a film called 'Zombie Ass: the toilet of the dead'.

Has anyone here watched the Persona 4 Animation? :o
To me, it follows the game story so well and al the character's personalities are just like the game. That shocked me. Which game to movie/show adaptations are, well...God awful :x

I've never played any persona games and never watched any animations. Maybe I will check into it :o I kind of liked the Hitman movie despite the bad reviews it got, sure it could of been better, but what movie can't be made better? lol.
I never played the .hack games, but the anime was kind of meh.
Resident Evil I think is the only game to movie adaptation I can think of that got decent reviews and was "popular."
My memory is a little fuzzy, but I think Silent Hill got a movie and I am pretty sure I enjoyed it as well, but I can't quite remember lol. Hell I even liked the Doom movie despite it's bad reviews lol. I think I might actually like all game to movie adaptations haha, I can't seem to think of one I don't like. Wait I didn't like the final fantasy movies, except advent children, advent children was badass.

Do not watch Persona Trinity Soul. Please. I beg you. It will make you just about hate the Persona series and it's not like that at all.
And to be fair, you don't need to play the game to follow the story. Persona 4 the game and the anime are so closely tied, that everything you need to know is pretty much explained. The only thing you might be confused about is why one can use multiple personae and the others can only use one, but I forget if they explain that =P

They're all really good, but I suppose it depends on your tastes. Angel Beats is funny, sad, romantic, and has a decent amount of action. Clannad has the same attributes minus the action (there are 1 or 2 action scenes but nothing major) and adding in more romance and sadness. Madoka Magica is an action packed thriller with a decent amount of comedy.
Out of those 3, Clannad and Angel Beats are tied for my favorite anime of all time, but most would argue Angel Beats is better. So take your pick, but I recommend you watch all three. (And there's a considerable amount of anime I left out. I just listed a few of the top of my head.)
