@ Ant
Well about up to what episode do you think I should watch before making a more informed decision? I am willing to go the distance, but don't be saying all 542 current episodes lol.
As for the case of "only watched the first few episodes," I only watched a few episodes of just about all the animes I enjoy and knew I would love them just based on those few episodes. Most anime's I watch pull me right in and get me interested immediately like Death Note and Code Geass.
@ Coyote
Bleach hasn't finished, it is way too close to the manga's current point in the story so it has to be stopped or another filler made until the manga can progress some more - the former was chosen in this case. A big mistake most animes make are making the anime during the making of what it is based off of (manga). Many volumes of the manga can fit into a single 30 min episode of anime and so the anime progresses a lot faster than the manga.
@ raiken
I suppose I may have spoken wrongly in saying I don't like never ending animes. I think rather it's the subject matter that I dislike about one piece - trying to find a treasure. Becoming Hokage (Naruto), changing the world for the better (code geass), protecting what you believe in / your friends (bleach) are all more things I can get behind. Searching for a treasure seems less honorable, greedy, dull, and boring to me.
@ Marine
Yeah I am sure the "one piece" means the bonds you have with your friends or some cliche nonsense like that, but still doesn't hook me in lol. I hate Dragonball now and back then - DBZ is the good stuff. Also just because somethings popular doesn't make it good in my mind. Everyone thought that Avatar movie (Blue ppl, not air bender) was such an amazing movie. I watched it twice and said wtf is this garbage. People saw pretty colors it seems like and became completely entranced. They didn't notice there was little to no story at all, my faith in humanity waned a little the day that movie came out :p
