Yeah it's 12 episodes long. :3

I might watch season 2 of Toaru **jutsu no Index after I get my new modem which should arrive this week sometime.

Fairy Tail 2014 is pretty good. I like the animation a lot better than the original (Maybe because it's almost the exact same as the movie's animation). Though I feel they rushed the GMG final day/battle and could have made the fights longer.
W-what is this?

I like 12 episode series. Not too long, and not too short. Unless it turns out to be a series I very like and there are only 12 episodes, then it can be annoying, but that's pretty rare.

I've not even seen the older Fairy Tail. So the new one is just a remake of the old?

Not a remake, it's a continuation since the first got abruptly halted due to catching up to the manga.

Actually, I heard that the series was cut off at episode 175 because of a...problem...involving some of the employees, including Lucy's voice actor, who was made redundant and apparently will have to be replaced with someone else.

Bad news for subbed fans. Doesn't really make a difference to the dub, though.

It was for both of those reasons. The anime was right on top of the manga and then that scandal happened.

But no, Aya Hirano is still Lucy's VA.
