^ Anyone got parents who just don't undestand anime or anything about anime culture?
I was watching Sgt.Frog yesterday, my dad saw it and said "Put something adult on, instead of that childish Japanese cartoon crap! You need to start watching adult things, this stuff won't do anything for your brain" me "..." *thinking, ,wait what adult? Um I already watch "adult movies" did that a long time ago it's just that I'm not in the mood for "movies" right now*.
A lot of people watch movies like Batman, Final Destination etc. What's the difference?
One is animated and one isn't?
What happened to seeing other people's ideas?
So annoying..

There are children anime just as there´re mature anime. Keroro looks kinda childish though. Not saying it is because I haven´t seen (not planning to either).
If bakugan or yu gi oh would be on television and my parents had that kind of reaction, I'd say 'Damn Right!'. Fortunately I never watch television anyway.
@ Dynamic.
It's a bit complicated but the creativity of Studio Ghibli really got me.

SGT Frog looks childish, and in some respects is. However, it's childish in the sense of Invader Zim, older audiences can enjoy it too. Also, there are plenty of adult jokes and innuendos spread across it. Oh, and the characters cus. Not saying that's a qualification for it to be "adult" but it helps pull it out of the realm of childish.
@Dynamic A loooooong time ago, yet still in this galaxy, I watched an anime and thought "Hey, this is amazing." Well, except I was like 6 at the time and didn't even know Japan existed, let alone that they were responsible for it. I just watched Toonami and liked what I saw. I think the first one I really got into was Tenchi Muyo.
Now... back to watching Lucky Star. The anime about nothing! \(°v°)/

I think the first anime I really got into looooong time ago (maybe not in this galaxy because most kids have their heads in the clouds) was DBZ even though back then I didn't know what anime was. I can even remember me and my friends sitting round the TV when Frieza stabbed Krillen though the abdomen with one of his horns and Frieza being cut in half.
That was AWESOME!
Although, I remember when I was like 8 and Yugioh came on Sky One for the first time. I was HOOKED.
Good times. I also liked Pokemon but QUICKLY got over it. :|

First anime I ever watched was pokemon (when I was like 6). My parents never let me watch dbz, though.
Alright new question, we all have thought that an anime character has been cute at one time or another, so my question is, what anime character, in your opinion, is the cutest?

^Oh man, hard to pick just one. Considering that 'cute girls' is probably the third most important criteria that I follow when it comes to choosing anime to watch (#1 is 'interesting sounding premise' and #2 is 'have I heard good things about this title' if your wondering) I have a lot of possible selections lol.
