Mushishi: its about supernatural beings (Called Mushi) and the main character Ginko (Mushi-master) goes around helping people with mushi bothering them. It is somewhat odd, but it does have interesting things about life
One Piece: Luffy chases his childhood dream of becoming a pirate king
Case Closed (Or Detective Conan, which is in Japanese version with english subtitles): This is a murder-mystery type of anime. The main character is Jimmy Kudo in the english dubbed version (Conan Edogawa in the japanese version). The problem is that some bad people fed him some medicine to make him shrink, and now hes a 8 year old kid with the mind of a 17 year old that is trying to get his old self back with no leads to follow

I just find out yesterday that Sekirei: Pure Engagement is coming out on dvd on January 2012.
Finally! I already have the first season dvd. Can't wait for the second.
The story is very interesting.

Toriko: Recommending Toriko is like recommending the big three with fewer episodes so far. Really, you're better of watching One Piece. Not that I don't enjoy it.
Mushishi: without a doubt the best anime ever; and I'm very cautious with that sentence.
One Piece: Discourages new viewers with a slow start (it really starts kicking in at 226, but the first real arc begins around 100) and a controversial artstyle, but every watcher can assure you: get past that and prepare for a ride!
Detective Conan: haven't seen but it's really long, even longer than One Piece.

Can we talk about manga in this thread as well?
Reason why I'm asking this is because most mangas are a fair bit ahead of the anime adaptation such as naruto/bleach (generic as all hell but ye)
wouldn't want to post any spoilers.
