Opinions on script
One thing I immediately noticed was the fact that the characters have a lot more of a mouth on them, alot more mild profanities and such. Otonashi nearly drops a F-bomb at least once.
Nobody has yet figured out how to say 'Yurippe' correctly, which resulted in more than one collision between my head and desk.
Otonashi cant tell the difference between an M16 and an Intervention? He needs to play more Call Of Duty. But seriously, dumb choices for a few lines (that one especially).
Sentai really should have taken a leaf out of Mazui's book and used 'erased'. 'Obliterated' creates the wrong impression, all i can imagine is Otonashi exploding into chunks of meat like he sat on a grenade.
Yuri:'This is TK'
Otonashi: 'Exactly how high is this guy?'
They left in the KEY product placement jokes :P
Thank god they left the music intact. Theres absolutely no way that they could dub to that level and still leave the song listenable.

Other:
Someone forgot to subtitle/edit the location signs. So heres people taking in english with random japanese characters on screen, lol

lmfaooo just watched the dubbed first episode of Angel Beats.
Some Notes:
Yuri Nakamura TOTALLY sounds like one of those airheady girls that go "seriously, ah mai gawd no wai" all the time XDDD
Otonoshi sounds like a normal dude i guess.
Kanade's voice is ok i guess. it suits her
Not Yet Dead Battlefront- the name is kinda catchy in a way, I forgot what it was in the subbed version i watched.
The only noticable complaint I have is that Kanade doesn't sound all robotic when she uses Hand Sonic...that was cool :(
Well also, instead of dissapearing...they get obliterated apparently
There are others but i dont feel like talking about them.
Overall, honestly, I like the Angel Beats dubbed. Even though I don't think of Angel Beats as a particurly award winning anime, I watched the subbed version and I think the dubbed version is kinda more entertaining in dialouge for some reason..

@DynamicHawk: The objective isn't so much to win as it is to rebel, to cause general chaos and attack God's representative in the hope that they will get the chance to confront God himself for them getting the short stick in life.
Watch episode 2, Yuri explains it.

I cant really say much. Alot of what makes the storytelling in Angel Beats good is the central mystery of exactly what the heck is going on. 'Obliteration' refers to being reincarnated as a new person an losing your old 'self', thats all i can say at this point.
Its not so much they aren't happy with the conditions NOW as they weren't happy with the conditions when they were alive, and then they died, and now they are angry about it.
I guess ill just say it now though since you'll probably come up with these theories on your own later (everyone else did). No, they are not in a videogame. Yes, they are dead and no, they dont have a spawn limit.
Remember what Yuri says in the first few minutes about being flexible in your thinking? Thats advice for the viewer as well, not just Otonashi.

"AnoHana ep. 8 was also great. Finally Menma proves her existence, I've been waiting for that since the first episode.
I started watching Hidan no Aria and Gosick again after stopping for a few weeks.
Well, Aria is as mediocre as you can get except for the awesome opening and the action scenes.
Gosick is still a bit boring and I hate Kujo and Victorique. But I like the setting and you don't see mystery anime that often. "
They could have left Gosick with less romance, yes, but I agree with everything else with what Tech said a while ago.

I've been eagerly awaiting the dubbed version of Angel Beats, but after what you've said, it might be somewhat painful to watch. Nevertheless, it's still a great series from KEY, no matter how good or bad the voice casting is. :P
Up to episode 35-ish of Hayate no Gotoku series 1 so far. Still enjoying it, but it seems to be going far too quickly for my liking, and i'll have finished it before i know it. :@

Just watched the new episode of bleach, I'm actually really liking this filler arc. The next episode looks like it's going to pwn, Kenpachi v. Kenpachi, both my favorite captains! :D I kinda wonder, though, if Nozomi is a soul reaper then why doesn't she have a fricken zanpakto?!... Unless she has such awesome ability in spell casting that she doesn't need one? Well, whatever, it was a good episode for a filler arc and I can't wait til the next one comes out day after tomorrow.
When They Cry is turning out to be an awesome manga as well, though I think I can kinda tell what's going to happen. Won't be able to finish it for tonight though (too busy :@ ).
