Just watched a lot of anime this weekend because I was bored out my mind. I finished all of Full Metal Panic! and I have to say that is one of my favorite shows now. Also watched Serial Experiments Lain and finished Evangelion, those are some very confusing shows...

I've watched the first 2 episode of the english dub of Angel Beats now, and you are right. A lot of the voices don't seem to fit, but they're not too bad. Some of them are the voice actors in Clannad + After Story, which I saw the After Story English dub not too long ago, so the voices aren't too unfamiliar.
Are they being aired weekly?, or have all the dubbed episodes be released already?, as I can only find two episode on YouTube.

I believe you can buy the Angel Beats Dubbed DVd and blu ray on the 26th July.
Although, you are probably being slightly biased because you are so used to the subs. Although, at least the voices didn't seem flat and had some kind of life to them. :)

Yup 26th of July it is. Guess who already pre-ordered what (along with how many other things, oh my poor wallet. Now lets just hope my car dosent breakdown or something :P ).
Undoubtedly, being used to the sub will produce some sort of bias, always does. Ive noticed it in reverse with some of the anime i watched on TV years ago, where im far more partial to the dub over the sub.
It dosent always happen though, so one must assume that they were 'good' dubs. Some dubs which i was perfectly complacent with in the past seem horrific if i go back an watch them now.
Overall, the Angel Beats dub isn't BAD. Its just not really all that GOOD either. Its MEH, just MEH.

I like having all my anime on a shelf on display, if only for the aesthetic qualities if nothing else. In my opinion, its always so much more satisfying to be able to hold the real thing in your hands (especially with Manga, ive never liked reading it on a screen).
That dosent negate my need for an external though, the 'Anime and Manga' folder i store on my external is bigger than my actual main hard drive.
And the thing is, its never my economy im contributing to. Its Japan and America's. That said though, they both need it alot more than we do :P
