Japanese postage prices straining my wallet again. I love how they call it 'economy' shipping (the regular 2 - 6 weeks SAL packet) when theres nothing economic about it. I pay $60 for 3 magazines, and then they still want $40 for the slowest possible shipping to a country that isn't even all that far away...
Ah well, could be worse. Express was $150
. All things considered, im probably paying more for the tracking and insurance than i do for the actual postage, but theres never an option to turn such things off ...
Also, a question for anyone else who buys anime magazines from Japan (i sometimes do for the extra's and the pretty foldout pictures
).
A bunch of the Dengeki G's magazines have little figures of the girls from Rewrite (New KEY visual novel, must remember to pre-order. The preview video looks EPIC). I can only find 3 of them though, which is at least 2 short of the 'full set'. Anyone got any idea whats up with the others, or if I missed them or something (I want the one of the girl with the knives
)?

I just watch the first dubbed version of Angel Beats, which i guess must be showing on TV someplace since the DVD/BD's arent out till late July. *Sigh* at least they left the music intact...
Opinions on Voices
-Otonashi: Bland, lead male voice. Itt'l do.
-Kanade: fitting, but lacking in some qualities
-Yuri: To girly, lacks Yuri's 'atmosphere', you get used to it though
-Noda: OMFG Sentai, fire your voice caster. WTF is yuorippi
-Hinata: As above, to deep for the character design.
-Matsuhita: Not so bad
-Oyama: meh, i cant decide whether its bad or im just not used to it.
-Fujimaki: Losses his intensity but he's so minor it dosent really matter,
-Takamastsu: Could be good, dosent have enough lines to really judge
-Shina: To minor to worry about
-TK: He's not funny anymore
....
-Yusa: I think she gets maybe 10 words in the whole show, so dosent matter.
-Yui: Just becasue having an annoying personality makes her endearing, her voice dosent have to match (based on her brief ep 1 appearance).
-Iwasawa: Not great, suitable but not great. Ah well, they leave the Japanese singing intact, and she dies (lives?) soon enough anyways.
