I was wondering if anyone here is into cel collecting?
Cels are transparent sheets on which the animation is painted. They were used to create anime, but nowadays they are replaced by the computer.
The fun thing about collecting these is that you have a unique piece of art from your favorite anime and if you know from which episode it's from you could pause it at the exact moment to find your cel. :)
Before a cel is made the animators first make a sketch of every key animation called genga, the important scenes in the anime. Most current anime are still made by making hand-drawn genga and then scanning those sketches to finish it with the computer.
Because every cel and genga is unique you can only buy them at a few auction websites like Mandarake. Very popular cels and genga from anime like Ghibli movies and Evangelion usually sell for hundreds if not thousands of dollars! But you can buy many cels and genga from other anime for a small price.
I just started collecting these and I managed to buy a few rough genga from Shiki for only ¥2,000, which was airing last year. :) Don't try to get genga from the current popular anime like Madoka Magica, the latest Madoka genga was sold for a whopping ¥155,100. :P

Anohana, one of the better animes I've seen so far.
Definitely worth your time if you like stories such as Clannad.

By the way, could someone tell me what anime resembles Stein's gate a bit? Is it like Durarara?

Yes it is Flash. Maybe when everything settles down in the anime season, I can take a look at Clannad. After the whole episode of Ano Hana, I am still wondering how he still (might) be in love with Menma.
Just started watch Deadman's Wonderland. My opinion through the first episode;
1 min in: Yay! School life with happy atmosphere :) !
3 mins in: Wait...what? Blooood :O
5 mins in: What is happening?! Its too dark to see dead people and Red Man!
7 mins in: They charged a student, the sole survivor, as a murderer? Then they decide to put him to death? Theeen they kick his ass till he bleeds? How did they expect a single boy to kill a group of students without any evidence?
8 mins in: What the ---- did he just say?!
10 mins in: *cries* sniff..random singing..
12 mins in: What the hell is wrong with people watching prisoners act? Go watch a normal comedy movie !
Couple seconds later...: LOL at the question the guys asked.
13 mins in: Holy ----! Damn...she a tough broad, yo.
15 mins in: Is it just me or does Mimi and that girl with the Target store branding look oddly similar?
20 mins in: Kamehameha-copyrighted blast plus the philosophers stone!
21 mins in: I guess my dog isn't getting that collar...
End: Brilliant. Disturbing, but brilliant.

@Sb Flash:
Although I love Steins;Gate, it's not nearly as brilliant as Durarara. I can't pick a series that resembles S;G and I think that's a good thing because it makes it unique to me.
It's about a self-proclaimed "mad scientist" who with his other lab members finds out that their modified microwave can send text messages to the past.
As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN, who has been doing their own research on time travel, tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.
It has an interesting new take on time travel, different than The Girl Who Leapt Through Time for example. There's lots of comedy and mystery in this series, so if you like that I recommend it. :)

Hold on a minute, have I miscounted?!
I was just watching episode 7 of Umineko no Naku Koro ni and counted the 13 people around the dining room table plus the 4 servents makes only 17 people.
Including the grandfather makes 18. But, we know he didn't do anything so, I don't count him as one of the 18 people.
So, are there only 17 people in the house?! O_o Is Beatrice the 18th person? Meaning there is no 19th person?!

Downloaded the CrunchyRoll app for my ipod touch last night. Now I can watch Hayate no Gotoku and other series that weren't previously on YouTube. So glad I found the app haha :P

'Just like the arcs in Higurashi, there are those in umineko. Simple answer for you, Hawk. '
True, but the part in question is actually still part of the first arc. In the Novels its a separate epilogue which you can access after you finish the main story. During this extra, the characters discuss how they were killed in the first game.

@Dynamic Hawk
Thats one of the major points in the mysteries, the question of whether the piece called Kinzo is in play at the beginning of the game or not. You'll find that they address that aspect of the mystery quite often, since one of Battlers main theories (the concept of 18th person X) relies on that specific point.
