Question on When They Cry.
WHAT'S WITH THOSE FREAKY EYES?! O_o
EDIT:
Also, in Episode 5, is it a new universe or something or showing you a different part of the past from someone else's view point?

you have to watch it all before understanding, if i tell you i would be ruining the whole experience. You'll not know what is going going untill season 2-Higurashi no naku koro ni kai-.
It falls into the new universe version i'd say but i cannot tell you more.

O cmon you have to love everyone getting killed without a reasonable explanation, you get to know a lil bit more of the plot by the last chapter of season 1

@TechEngineer. I'd highly recommend carrying on watching the Higurashi series. It gets a lot more interesting and thrilling nearer the end of season 1, and season 2 will fully answer any questions you may have about season 1 (and the 3rd short season will fully finish the entire anime storyline). I'd probably rank it as one of my favourite animes i have seen, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in seeing a great psychological thriller with an extremely well written plotline.
@Sjwn94. I can't wait for Shakugan No Shana season 3 either. I'll be happy as long as they don't kill off any of the main characters right at the end. Sad endings are always the worst, and I'm hoping that Shana doesn't end up killing Yuuji, or vice-versa. (If you don't understand what I mean by this, read about what happens in the light novels from volume 16 onwards.)
