I have a 70 episode roof, though the majority of what i watch is 12 - 26 episodes in length.
I can allow for filler when the filler is actually useful. Example, Cardcaptor Sakura: much longer than the original manga but the 'filler' (dosent really suit the term) was used to explore the characters, relationships and the anime's themes, and never once was boring. Its the one time when deviating from the manga was actually an IMPROVEMENT (though granted, they did arrive at the same ending as opposed to a cop-out or dues ex machina like alot of anime.)
Thats 'GOOD' filler. Now i think about it though, i cant think of any other anime which have done that.
