I remember watching both of those...
Pokemon got epic fail after 3 years. Got worse and couldn't watch it in the end, the art got worse, no new storyline, so, nothing new and therefore got old and boring.
Yugioh would have won in a competition between them, purely on the basis of them knowing when/where to end it instead of it going on for 10+ years...
Also, on a side note, does anyone think it somewhat stupid how 4kids take out bits and pieces out of anime which air in the UK?
i.e. Cigarettes, guns etc...
EDIT:
Am not condoning smoking or guns, don't do either. :P

^ And black people. All the black people in one piece where turned white :P
But not really. Usually when that sort of anime was dubbed, the demographic that it was being marketed to was lower. Having a lower age target means that that they need to remove age inappropriate materials, lest the viewers parents get offended or think thee series in inappropriate for their child, and therefore not buy their children series related merchandise.
Its not so much the censoring/edits that annoy people so much as the fact that the series existing fanbase gets riled up because they aren't receiving a product which is held in the same standard as the japanese release.
That being said, when a company does release something in that manner they really do need to keep the works original fan base in mind. The best way foir them to do this would be to create two individual angle settings and audio tracks on their DVD's.

As for pokemon, that series really needs to hurry up and die. Fair enough if the franchise is still kicking but the *V series should probably be laid to rest. The problem there is because they laid out such an ambiguous goal for the series in the first place, they can go on FOREVER.

This is mostly on topic, but, loosely off topic...
Is anyone gonna watch the American remake of the Death Note movie? It is going to apparently star, get ready for it...
Zach Effron!
Duh, duh duh...
Wait, I can read your mind, is it something like;
"NOOOOOOOOOO!"?

I still need to watch the last 3 episodes. It's really interesting, but also very confusing.
Currently reading the Fate/Stay Night visual novel. ^_^

Fate/Stay Night...
"People die if they are killed." Gotta love that genius quote. I need to finish watching this series too.

I really have to finish a lot of animes... But I'm watching Hell Girl (Jigoku Shoujo) in Eng Dub, I can't find the Japanese Dub anywhere :X. I have to rant about Ai's english voice actor though, it sounds... weird.

Oh yeah, it's me, Embrace M E, just to let you guys know.
