I have been reading "Big Order" lately, it's such a good anime! It basically talks about a group of people who obtained a certain power depending on a wish that they have made in their past. I recommend people to read it :) .

well there were a few shows but the show i really noticed it was guilty crown...i loved this show and i have since changed it to 9/10 because that's how much i enjoyed it but on MAL it just got so much hate "worst anime ever" "train-wreck"

Why even bother looking at other peoples opinions, to many spoilers there >****;


anyway i've been looking for a certain kind of anime, and so far have been failing abysmally and thought i could use some help. what i'm looking for is one which is like those old school detective shows. the closest thing to what i'm looking for would be those detective side episodes out of darker then black. anyone got any suggestions?

Well I don't really remember much about Darker than Black but if you just want detective shows, I can only think of a few. In order from best to worst:

Gosick
Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi
Yakushi*i Ryouko no Kaiki Jikenbo
Kamisama no Memochou
Shinrei Tantei Yakumo (not that good at all, wouldn't really bother with it)

The one that i'm looking for are the old style western styles of the detective show
where there is a lot of internal monologuing of what the main character is thinking while solving his cases and how he is perceiving the people around him and all that kinda stuff. (which i doubt that i'd find an anime like it (especially since this format was most prominent in the black and white era) but can always hope)


EDIT: really just looking for something in this kind of style, doesn't particularly have to be a detective show, but would be appreciated

I really have no idea. The amount of internal monologues in a show isn't something I keep note of. Ehh... Try "Aoi Bungaku Series" It's 12 episodes in total containing a few stories of a few episodes each. The first story is something you might be looking for, I don't remember much about the others though. It doesn't have anything to do with detectives though and it's pretty depressing.

darker than black was a really awesome show. not many animes keep me interested after the first few episodes but this one did it for me. Hei was a bad ass not to be a MC fanatic tho.

Currently watching ghost in the shell.. never saw the series but I remember watching the movie back in the 90s.
