He was just as corrupt and manipulative as his father. A martyrdom also ends the story for good.
And yet, he still felt the need to go out with a selfless act for the people in spite of this, why? If he was as corrupt as you say, then that would just be a contradiction to his character. He was, prior to all that BS, in the best position to achieve his professed goals, so in the end, there was just no good REASON for his little charade of playing the villain. If he wanted his sister in the top job because he felt that would be better for the people, all he had to do was announce he was stepping down. He can do that since, you know, he's king and all.
Also, the ending hasn't put a full-stop on the series at all. I've had plenty if people try to convince me that Lelouche is still alive and well when I've pointed out that you cant have a sequel when the main character is deceased.
Seriously, What is up with that anyway? People always asking 'when is the second season (series name) coming out' under the most ridiculous circumstances. It's like, you could make a series where, in the last episode, a giant rock falls out of the sky and blows the planet apart, killing the entire cast, and people would still ask when the second season is coming out...
Lelouch was driving the cart!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys I just started watching anime few weeks ago.
My first anime was Death Note and now I'm close to reaching the end of Code Geass. I'm looking for a new anime to watch. So far I realy enjoyed both of them, although imo Death Note > Code Geass.
If you guys have any anime suggestions lmk.

Angel Beats! is usually my go to suggestion for newbies.
Something like Hi*urashi no naku koro ni or even Samurai Champloo might better suit you tastes.
I'm from japan, and anime are awesome, i have a friend who have connections to the anime airing studios, so a little spoiler about owari no seraph, nah nevermind, btw can't wait for the shingeki no kyojin vid.
Also do u people watch it in english or dub, or like me just without only japanese with no subs.
When i was young i didn't educated to be rich, i educated to be happy, so when i grow up i knew the value of things, not the price

Soul Eater: Entertaining cast with a power of friendship sort of disappointing ending (Happens in Fairytail too). It's fun but no must watch masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination and there is nothing you'll miss about it by watching other action series'. If you have seen Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood there should be no real urgency to see Soul Eater. Soul Eater probably works better to watch with friends because of it's quirky and light-hearted nature though while FMA covers some heavier topics.

Fairy Tail - action/adventure
Cowboy Bebop - action/sci-fi
Sword Art Online - action/adventure/romance (romance turns into harem by start of 2nd season)
Accel World - action/sci-fi/romance
Log Horizon - action/adventure
Attack on Titan - action/adventure
Inuyasha - action/adventure/romance with comedy elements
Dragonball - action/comedy
Trigun - action/comedy
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - action/adventure
I'm very picky with my animes so they have to become my favorite within a few episodes or I can't get into it
Prefer dubs, but I got into subs when I got to the dub stopping point of Fairy Tail, and I've been watching that ever since kuz I need to see the new episodes lol
