@Natsume Rin: Lol, Of all the random names in the world that could pop up. I just finished playing Little Busters 5 seconds ago. I don't suppose you have any idea how im meant to get onto the second part of her route do you? I keep getting that ending where you randomly pass out in the corridor and it says "that path you didn't take, try to accept it next time".
@Kurama: Well, as a few of us have said a couple of times, Angel Beats was probably the best anime released in 2010. Very high standards in the audio, vocal and visual departments. Its a mix of action and comedy with drama and a little romance mixed in.
Heres a bit of a story summary. Not to spoilery because you find all of this in the first 10 minutes.
The story is set in the afterlife/purgatory, which resembles a massive boarding school. Otonashi, our amnesiac protagonist, wakes up next to a girl wielding a sniper rifle (Yuri) who informs him that he has died and is in the afterlife. If he dosent want to be erased by "angel" (the student council president, gods representative and wielder of supernatural powers) and be reincarnated as a barnacle, then he needs to rebel against the system.
So Otonashi joins up with Yuri's guerrilla rebel group to kill time until he can fully understand his situation, lots of bullets are fired, things explode, lots of people die and lots of music is played.
The theme of the whole show is, according to the trailer " the greatest song in praise of life", which is quite a deep theme and rather tough to tackle with 13 episodes (lucky for us, looks like we're getting more).
Because the story was originally meant to be about 3 times longer, some of the developments can feel a little rushed at times, but its not really all that bad. Still one of my very favorite anime and i would wholeheartedly recommend it to you (and even to strangers who passed in the street). I would recommend the sub done by Mazui subs.
