Air movie? That could save me some time if I watched that. Also if it's meant to be better that's a bonus.
I'm pretty sure that tentative 2010 release for Hellsing's wrong because they'd have to have an actual date by now if it was out this year.
What I've just found out is getting released on dvd though after I've been waiting forever is Trigun Badlands Rumble, which if my source is right should be released on December 15 in Japan.

I would have to say my favorite anime show would have to be the original "Dragon Ball"(Not DBZ).
"Akira" is one of the best movies of the anime genre and was a breakthrough in animation during the 80's.
Everyone should also give the "Vampire Hunter D" series a try...

Vampire Hunter D film you mean? I had to look this up to make sure they actually didn't make a series and there is one planned apparently. If its anything like this movie it could be good. :)
There's meant to be a Vampire Hunter D live action film planned too made by one of the producers of the Resident Evil games.

Well, i think its better at any rate. About half of the arcs are cut out (so you only get the Misuzu and summer arc's) but those are the two that make up the actual story.
The other two, the Kano and Minagi/Michiru arc's, are really just your standard KEY "sad girl in (something that starts with S) interacts with main character and has an issue solved and/or dies/was already dead" type deal.
The storytelling is done better since theres just the one focus, and its a little less "w..t...f" at the end. The animation is also nicer, not to say KyoAni did a bad job on the TV series but....
As for the hellsing OVA, thats what wiki says. I hit up a few other sites as well, but they didnt have any more information.
As for the trigun movie, amazon japan confirms your intel.

Anime is a short term for animation. It is often referred to as Japanese Animation, and now world wide, anime is considered Japanese animation.

On anime topics:
Has anyone here seen Angel Beats or Shiki? They're both amazing, Shiki is currently ongoing and Angel Beats has already finished its broadcast.
