Ah yes, trully this years anime gem. To bad it never really got the treatment it deserved. It was originally pegged at 35 episodes, but for some reason only 13 where approved, Thats why it can feel a little rushed at times.
That and the whole "mixed media" thing. Youve got half the story in the anime, Another bit the story in the light novel, Still more in the radio play's, the manga, the 4-koma, need i say more?
Im really looking forward to episode 14.

Well, the ending was at any rate. Because of the rushing to get all the various sad pasts ouit into the open, i didnt get the time to connect with the characters enough to care for them at the time.
Yuri's sob story was WAYYY to soon, but then, thats what i mean about the whole 13 VS 35 episode thing. Still, pick it to peices as much as you like, it was a great anime and i got my fingers crossed for a DVD/BD release.

As for the release date for hellsing OVA, it has been "tenativly sugegsted " that it will be some time in 2010.

Otonashi had one of the saddest deaths I've ever seen in an anime. It isn't just like those regular anime's where the main character has some past history about someone dying in their family. I honestly thought this anime was made great, it's just rushed so much.

Oh yeah, dont get me wrong, its one of my top 5.
As for otonashi's death, i agree that his was pretty sad. Probally because ide had about 7 episodes to get attached to him by that point. I wouldnt call it the saddest death ever, i would have to say that honour goes to Air or Kanon.
Its also ironic though, in a sad way.
>>>SPOILERS<<<
His last wish is to give someone back their life, so he leaves his organs, Kanade gets his heart and lives for like...a year or two mabye, and then kicks the bucket anyways.
thats gotta suck.

Though, Yui aswell had an 'interesting' death aswell, Otonashi had the saddest out of all though. I can't comprehend Kanade as she didn't have alot of story to her background. I felt sad for Naoi because, I too understand his pain.

mmm, i dunno. i cant really sympathise with naoi because if i was in his shoes i woulda just told my father to get stuffed.
And is suppose thats the thing with Kanade isnt it, she's meant to be a bit of an enigma. Hopefully we get some closure on that front with this 14th unaired episode, because while the "leave the mechanisms of the world unexplained" works well for the other key anime, i thought that in respect to Angel Beats at least a partial nod to the "truth" was necessary.
Oh BTW, concerning Yui. Did you find her endearing or annoying? I personally liked her as a character but alot of the people on ANN hated her...
