Yeah, I'll never undersatnd these cons that have raves and bars and stuff, doesn't seem like the type of place I would expect those thing.
Just has a look at the prices, looks like it's £15 for a day ticket or £25 for priority entry (you get in like 2 hours early) for a day (that's a preorder price, it'll go up later). Considering what I said about it being mostly hipster shit as far as panels and presentations are concerned, you really only need the one day so there's no need to stay in there, and internal transport is cheap since there's a DLR stop right outside the convention centre. It's a bit of a round trip, but it's doable in a day.
My advice is to go on a Saturday. The friday can be worth going to for the sake of sniping unique stuff, but alot of vendors don't open on Fridays and are sold out by Sunday.
