I would assume as much as you're willing to spend. They do sell a lot of merchandise and such at most conventions I've heard.

Though I think most of the costs would come from travelling and such, well, for me personally.

Maybe Revive can chime in since he's been (iirc), but the convention closest to me is an hour's drive away, then I'd pay for parking and shell out $50-65 at the door for a one-day pass just to do what, exactly? Doesn't seem worth it to me.

So if we're talking specifically about Animazement here, it would be $65 at the door if you got a badge Thursday night or Friday and that gives you access until things wrap up on Sunday afternoon. Would be $50 to walk in on Saturday for the remainder of the convention, and $25 for Sunday only. Pre-registration right now cost $60, but if you would've bought it right after the end of last year's con it's only like $40-45 or something. You won't necessarily have to pay for parking if you look around by the way. The dealer's room/artist's alley is where you're gonna be spending a lot money if you're interested in all the anime merchandise. I typically spend $300-400 there lol.

I can't speak for other conventions, but Animazement actually pulls in the some top tier guests year after year, so going for autographs and their panels can be pretty fun. Also it's just something fun to do and be around people with similar hobbies. It used to be a real cringe-fest years ago but more normies show up each year now.

I may go to one sometime just to see what it's like, honestly I don't see the point unless there's a guest or panel you really want to see. How much do cons typically cost anyway?
idk about your country but i would go for the atmosphere, food, coplayers singers, etc. its not just all about anime but also japan culture too for festivals conventions. but hey might be different in other places

Been loving Little Witch Academia and Youjo Senki. Though I get extremely frustrated having to wait for new episodes. One of the reasons I rarely watch anything as it is airing.

So I have started rewatching Yuru Yuri, Non Non Biyori, Kara no Kyoukai and the Persona 4 anime in the meantime.
