This is a myth from a decade ago that still persists today. Torrenting software will display the files you are trying to download. If it's not in a video format (mkv, mp4, avi) or is something like avi.exe then obviously I wouldn't download it. Not to mention, video files don't have executable privileges.

Unless your internet connection is extremely slow then a CR or Funi rip will download in a few minutes.

I do pay for CR which is alright for the price....though it has it's annoyances but never had any problem getting anime via torrent and have never had anything shady from nyaa/baka bt hell even kickass has been fine for me when ive occasionally had to use it. As for time....about 5-10minutes for a 720p single episode file for me might be looking at a few hours for full series depending on the length but unless you're getting something massively long with no seeders the speed is usually pretty damn fast as well few hours at most

You got me really excited until I looked into that and saw that it's just another light novel. Was hoping for an anime season 3.......
