Ahh... Just finished watching 3 new anime and I will now give my reviews on it:

Seirei Tsukai No Blade Dance:

It is enjoyable. Since I can't be bothered to remember anyone's names anymore, I'll list all the Harem Girls by order of appearance or hair color.

The animation is a tad slow during fight scenes which bothers me. It is slower than in most anime and that is really nagging at me. Kamito, the male protaganist and only character whose name I remember, is awesome in more ways than one.

Now, coming from a person who has read the Light Novels, I am glad to say that the two episodes (as of the posting of the message) follows the Light Novels very, very well. It is all in sync and you won't have to read Volume 1 of the light novel, assuming this follows High School DxD and the first 6 episodes are the telling of one volume and assuming it continues on this trend which I will like to see.

Ah, and if you want spoilers, talk to me.

Sword Art Online II

I ******* told you so. Gun Gale Online, the new SAO Game, is now in session. Again, this follows the Light Novels, which are currently being translated by Yen Press, and is no longer free on Baka Tsuki (I do have all the Light Novels as I recall though).

It will now jump between two characters, Kirito and the Sniper Girl whose name I forgot. It follows the Light Novels as well, so you won't have to read volumes 3 and 4. The animation is nice and it is basically like the first half of SAO Season 1, it's fast paced and awesome.

Aldnoah.Zero

I will agree on that guy on the Horrible Subs website, this is the BEST anime of the season. It's a mecha anime which is awesome on it's own part, and the guy from the Horrible Subs Website compared it with Shingeki No Kyojin (Attack on Titan).

In my opinion, it is best compared with Muv-Luv Alternative and to an extent, Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse.

From the creators of Fate-Zero, we bring you this.

The story sounds cliched, but they pull it off VERY well. The first episode greatly resembles Shingeki No Kyojin's first episode, which is alright in my opinion. The story is very dark and is easily the best part of the entire show.

The OST reminds me of Kill La Kill's OST which is a damned awesome OST in my opinion. Everything about this show oozes awesome. Now if there was fast paced action in this series, I'd be in love. The mecha designs are average at best. The heads of one the mechas reminded me of Val*rave 01's face close up though, which is a plus since the Val*rave mecha design is cool.

I will however, GREATLY emphasize the similarities between Aldnoah.Zero 3 episodes and Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse's first two episodes. They're both very militaristic which is great, there aren't as many great military anime out there.

During episode 1 of MLA:TE, we're put into a school and slice of life setting. During episode 1 of Aldnoah.Zero, we're put into a slice of life situation with slight political elements and we're given a feeling of impending doom. During episode 2 of MLA:TE, we're thrown into the best episode of the entire anime. Because the anime sucked ass most of the time with slice of life all the time. It shows war, gore and awesome everywhere. It also shows futility and humans fighting against a force they can never defeat (seriously, until the original protagonist, Takeru, appeared in the series, humanity has never won a battle against their attackers). During episode 2 of Aldoah, we're shown the first contact scenario which is basically a curbstomp.

Now, MLA:TE's third episode is the beginning of the slice of life, but Aldnoah's is slightly different.

A brief summary of it is: main characters figure out how to beat the giant beetle mecha their facing.

It was a great episode and with Horrible Subs releasing sometime in 5 or 10 hours, I can hope for an awesome 4th episode to both SAO and Aldnoah.

Three, only one of the movies is original content though, the other two being recaps that used largely the same resources as the TV series, just a little more SHAFTed. Madoka didn't need to be any longer, any more would have been padding the series out, and it's not really the kind of series that can be easily padded.

A bit of new animation and one or two new scenes, but by and large they are just condensed versions of the TV series, episodes 1-7 and 8-12 respectively, and as far as I can recall they don't carry any significant new information. The TV series is the better format to consume the series, preferably the home video release version, because you know, SHAFT.
