As for games censored in Japan. The most recent examples I can recall from memory are The Witcher 3, Nioh and Until Dawn.

I think Gears of War 4 was only just released too, pretty sure the previous titles were censored in Japan.

I could try to find more examples, if necessary.

It seems like they removed Pac-Man from the list.

I don't think it was mentioned here but one thing I notice quite a bit, especially in video games based upon WWII or alternate realities where Fascist Germany won WWII, is that when fighting the Waffen-SS (or really any group of the NSDAP), instead of seeing Swastikas on their flags, they use the Wehrmacht emblem instead.

The Wehrmacht was the German military, a part of the German state. The Waffen-SS was not a part of the German state but rather a branch of the NSDAPs Shutzstaffel that conscripted non-German soldiers from other countries, and so the use of the Iron Cross is inaccurate and inappropriate.

Yeah. It's appalling behaviour.

Activision Blizzard have been censoring their titles and the Swastika a lot more recently. All to appease Germany (German law), it seems.

Thankfully games like Wolfenstein aren't getting censored for the majority. Though I think they will be censored in certain deplorable places, most definitely Germany, probably Australia and New Zealand.

As for people needing thicker skin? I agree. What happened to all the people that didn't immediately take offence to everything and nothing?

It feels like you're not allowed to say or do anything anymore. Not allowed to have different views, opinions or interests.

Wolfenstein here in the U.S doesn't use Swastikas at all. They use the Iron Cross. Maybe I got the European release or something, but every Wolfenstein game I've played, it was censored. Many movies and television shows do it as well, and when they don't it's for "shock value".
