To start off, I am a parent to one child. I was childfree for a long time as I raised my niece when I was a teenager and I was all too aware of what raising a child was like. For a multitude of reasons , I obviously changed my mind. And, although I personally enjoy being a parent, I can definitely see why people don't have kids - even if they like kids.
I do believe that there is a strong gender component where one gender is pressured to both have kids and have all the child-rearing responsibilities, I won't center my thread about that. Instead, I would like to hear your opinions about the childfree lifestyle. Is it good? Bad? Are they selfish? Smart? What do you think?
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known
