I just noticed that Mawile is fucking cool.

Potential Gen 3 moveset:
-Baton Pass
-Swords Dance
-Attract
-Iron Defense
Stockpile (nevermind, Stockpile didn't get defensive boosts until Gen 4)

Considering other moves like Fake Tears, Taunt... maybe at least one attacking move like Crunch. Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

Hmm...

Mawile is a case of really good movepool, shitty stats (unless Mega).

I'd replace Attract with Rock Tomb though so you're not complete Taunt bait, plus it'd allow better setup potential. I have a theory, though not sure if Choice Band boosts your opponent's Foul Play. But if it works, here's a moveset I would put in for Klefki.

Switcheroo


I haven't really thought of another move to go with it, but even if the theory doesn't work Klefki can still lock down special attackers with Switcheroo, or just attack by itself on the getgo. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

From here, you can do whatever you like. You can do a Rest/Sleep Talk, Protect, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Substitute, Iron Defense, Dig...whatever you like to just keep it alive. Battery will power its partner's Special Attack by 30%. It's just a shame it can't use Helping Hand on top of all that. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

Decided against spending time on a Mawile; if I ever get around to the Gen 6(?) games then it'll be top of the list.

*pretty sure Gen 6 introduced mega evolutions, can't remember offhand though Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

Yes, it was.
