As for visual novels. I haven't seen anything of interest in forever. Have they just stopped translating them? Or are the ones that do get translated turn out to be really poorly localised/trash to begin with?

Granted I do not use Steam whatsoever for them, so keeping up to date can be hard.

The only one I've been playing recently was the recently released Utawarerumono.

Probably makes sense. It also seems more and more western developers are jumping on the visual novel bandwagon.

Most of which I absolutely didn't like.

Though I did like a couple of Winter Wolves developed visual novels. Which I think is an Italy based or Italian developer. Albeit they aren't entirely visual novels either.
