The Key to Home was released on FAKKU, but I refuse to support them.
Oh that? Yeah, it was released on FAKKU a while ago.
And FAKKU's not that bad, as they allow you a somewhat easier way to support artists by buying their works, it's just their need for a subscription model is utter nonsense. If I can buy any release for a magazine that they release translations for over on DMM and save them to my computer without the need to be online to read it, then there is no reason I should have to pay a monthly subscription just to read their translations.
To be honest, I'd rather do just that. Buy the releases over on DMM, and then find their translations in other places. Either way, I'm still supporting the creators in the end. I'm just not feeding into a ridiculous system that has no reason existing.

Hmm. Mary Jane's second attempt for an adaptation of Shoujo Kyouiku is looking like it might be somewhat decent this time around. From the preview, Sae actually looks like Sae, and they are no longer going with that pink glowing border crap anymore. (thank god for that)
Screenshot of Sae.
Though it looks like they might be going the faceless protagonist route for Youichi, which is an eh move from my view. I hope they at least don't do just their endings and give it somewhat of a proper storyline like they did with Shoujo Ramune.
I actually enjoyed playing through Shoujo Kyouiku so fingers crossed they manage to give it a decent adaptation this time around. I at least want to see Hanako and Nana get their proper time in the limelight this time around. Both of them got completely shafted last time. Not that Sae or Asami ended up much better, but Hanako only got like 3 minutes on screen, and Nana was cut out completely.

Should check out Rondo Duo by Tinkle Bell. I've really been enjoying it so far. You can get it on DLSite for 30 dollars(it's DRM-free), and there's a translation patch currently linked on vndb. Worth at least downloading the demo.

Still not sure why games like The Witcher 3 and Last of Us II can sex scenes, but visual novels can't.
Ive heard that at least for consoles like switch and ps, since they're from japan, they cant have those type of scenes as its illegal.
Or something along those lines.
As for steam though, its free game.
Also, is it weird that i find VN like Nekopara appealing even w/o those scenes?
I mean i also bought vol.1 for switch and found out it didnt have them so i choose not to play it and later got it on steam.
Then just recently i chose to go back into and found out its actually really good even though they got replaced and was really suprised how wholesome it is despite being
that
type of novel.

Wouldn't say it's weird. A lot of VN's have H content, but just because it does, doesn't mean it has to be the thing that sells it to you. It's the characters and their interactions that really sell a VN to you generally speaking.
