In Japan, censorship MUST be present in all mature content in some way; however, the current laws state only an attempt or a 10 percent censorship is required. In order for uncensored content to be safe from any breaking of laws, content creators must receive a clearance to distribute mature content without censorship.

I've worked for a few freelance Japanese VN games, and because we weren't a big team, nor did we have much money, we needed censorship to be present and intentional in order for us to make money selling it. Artist

Well, that's me finally done with using Steam as a service. I would rather not play their games or simply pirate games that exclusively launch on Steam than support such narrow-mindedness.

Murdering newborns in games like Crusader Kings is fine, but games with certain art styles? Nah.

At any rate, I have come to the realization that things such as Taimanin Yukikaze and euphoria! are bad for my heart. Good stories, but definitely bad for the heart.

I'm definitely looking forward to Mangagamers release of Sorcery Jokers this January. First 3rdEye VN to get a localization, and I do enjoy 3rdEye's works. So yeah, something to look forward to for sure. Leader of The Enemy ||

Just took another look at that Sakano Complex article, because I was thinking the art looked familiar. And yeah, that is MUK. That artist does some absolutely amazing work. The Tiny Evil One and Tiny Evil Two doujins they had released, With Tiny Evil One actually being their first doujin, they both had absolutely gourgeous art, with very heartwarming stories. When are Nitro+ going to translate Muramasa and their other very good looking visual novels? A joke question, of course, as it has been years upon years.

On another note, MangaGamer released their latest progress report on localisations. Maggot Baits is at 65% translated.
