I start off the day relatively normal save for my head feels like there is congestion but no coughing or runny nose now for some reason. I get worse as the day continues and then the dizziness hits me which is hard to deal with. I can't get much done (I lose energy quickly) and I lay around playing pokemon brilliant diamond a lot lmao.

But each day as a whole compared to the last is getting easier. I think I worked very close to a full day today when I couldn't the previous 2 days. And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

So bit of a strange week. My wife and I got back from the UK last Sunday night. We did our required pre-departure PCR tests Friday morning (negative) per Canada’s requirements. We were flagged at arrivals in Toronto Sunday night (as everyone travelling from the UK seems to be right now) so got PCR tested on arrival as well.

My wife started feeling a little unwell Monday. Nothing too bad. Then our arrival results from Sunday night came back. Both negative. Suspected maybe my wife just had a cold or just tired + drastic change in temperature. She did a rapid test Tuesday, still negative but Tuesday she spent most of the day in bed.

Yesterday she was eating some chips that tasted ‘off’. So I got her to do another rapid test, this time it was positive, albeit a faint second line. So all week her mild symptoms seemed to be Covid and perhaps our arrival PCRs didn’t yet pick it up.

Given Ontario’s new 5 day isolation rule for fully vaccinated, she’s technically allowed out of isolation today and I don’t have any symptoms and had a negative rapid test earlier today. Very strange lol

Rumours circulating that in the near future that there will be paid Covid tests available.

Not sure if the free ones will be phased out or simply an alternative for those with the means to avoid waiting in queue.
