It has not been left out. High risk categories have been well publicized over the course of the pandemic outlining the conditions that'll likely make you more vulnerable to Covid. That doesn't mean if you don't fit into one of those high risk categories that you're free and clear, safe from any harm.

Sure, it's unlikely as a healthy individual with no pre-existing medical conditions that you'd get severely sick but not impossible and it doesn't stop you from contracting it and contributing to transmission. Vaccines help somewhat in that area too but again, not at 100%.

It must be exhausting trying to find hidden agenda's and plots in every little thing.

There's a bigger picture here than just "Most people wont get sick or die".

We know the impacts of Covid. We know that if left unchecked and allow 'natural immunity' to take its course as you suggest, it would completely overwhelm health care systems globally, which is exactly what we experienced in 2020 prior to vaccine rollout.

Since then, despite subsequent waves of cases, the death and hospitalization rate has massively fallen and hasn't produced the same spikes, proving again how effective vaccines are at preventing severe illness, especially among those who have been vaccinated. A consequence of that is hospitals can continue focusing on non-Covid related illnesses and treatments.

You can repeat that Covid is only a large risk to a small minority of people who are high risk, but unfortunately, that isn't the only factor when it comes to public health.

It still never ceases to amaze me how over the past year or two, some people who have likely never touched a medical text in their lives believe they know more than the experts who work in a medical setting and engage with medical research for a living. Unfortunately, we now live in a society where too many would rather believe they are an expert in everything - while seeking validation in their social media echochambers - despite having no valid credentials.

Talking of moving goalposts, the COVID-19 vaccine conspiracy sure has stood the test of time. One minute the excuse was: "it hasn't been approved yet", then something about Bill Gates, and then: "it was developed in too short a time". Yet the same people are willing to accept false information around dewormer medication (for horses, not humans) being tagged as some "miracle cure".

Patience is wearing thin, and for good reason. The majority of COVID-19 patients are unvaccinated, taking up hospital beds and impeding on vital treatment of other conditions. Freedom of even the vaccinated is being compromised by this group, and while I am not a fan of mandates, the messaging should be crystal clear: get vaccinated, protect the health service and stop being a selfish snowflake.

Had my booster yesterday, as with previous ones a bit of arm ache for next 24hr (all three pfizer).

Sister and brother in law have been isolating after catching it off their daughter when they went to visit her in Oxford. Sister is fat so taken longer to shake it off compared with BiL.

Following on from your response re the thread in guides does that rule you've made up impact threads who exist soley to advertise discord channels? If not could you explain in what way are they different.

for example:98-99-120-66072020

Contains no guide and directs forumers off site.

Also there are a couple in here which do the same thing direct users off site and put nothing up for discussion

I'm sure given time I could find some more where

^ This shouldn't be a "betting" game. If you have strong views that go against scientific consensus and sow distrust in available data then there better be some compelling evidence to hold those views.

It's been known that old age and obesity are the biggest factors for dying of covid. We've known that since the beginning. Yet every time you hear about someone dying from covid, it's so convenient they leave that out.

Don't you think there's an agenda at hand? To make covid seem more deadly than it really is?

If it targeted skinny, healthy people (and left the old, fat, etc... alone) would you still think there was an agenda?
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

Booster acquired!

Excellent!
Hope there's no side effects for you... I just had an achey arm for a day, so not bad at all.
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

I took my eldest son for his booster this morning. He's OK so far. He had to have it in his right arm ( he's right handed ) due to having an injury to his left arm which is still healing. He came off his bicycle 6 days ago and strained his elbow. The bruises only just started to appear yesterday. The poor lad couldn't even touch his face with his left hand for 2 days.
