Trying to define how friendships form is tough, the matter is so subjective. As to why they end, that also takes some working out, even down to on a given day you may let something pass and on another day you would wring their neck.
A good friendship will survive many setbacks, it takes a lot to truly destroy that and this is very different from people who simply drift apart. I have gone years without talking to some of my friends and when we re unite, it's as if there was never a break.
You tend to know when it is right and when it is time to say goodbye. You will be hurt deepr by those you hold close than any enemy, but it is sometimes worth seeing beyond the act and understand the motive.
They can't be tamed, these wilder things.
