I think the way smithing and metal Armour is created should be changed to improve the game for all and give it a bit more realism.

I think buying metal armours on the exchange and shops should be stopped and trading of them should be removed.

This would then force players to build there levels to craft their own as it should be instead of just buying them as soon as possible.

This would then also lead to my next suggestion the long awaited update to smiting as these metal armours can no longer be sold on the grand exchange or traded the option to "Refine" these at the "Refinery" should be added to turn the items into "Powder" and "slag"

This could then lead to maybe a "Refinery" workshop at level 99 smiting with added levels to be able to refine different metal items. The higher your level after 99 determines the amount of ore "powder" you are returned compared to "slag".

This powder should stack and then be used to create a "pure bar" of the given ore. One "pure bar" should count as 2 normal bars or maybe be used to create future weapons upgrades ??

I would also suggest a "master refiners" outfit be added to be gained from continuing to train in the smiting skill in the "Refinery"

The first part sounds just like Ironman mode. I doubt people will like having this forced on them.

Well it's not exactly like iron man mode but kind of follows along the same lines it's not to make it harder but to push for users to do more right now smithing is a relatively pointless skill when everything you can make can be bought to save you actually smithing your self

This is to progress the skill and provide more for the user Todo as well as make it an over all more used and needed skill

Considering levels of equipment and smithing requirements are identical by now, it's extremely likely they'll make their own things by now anyway - certainly much more likely when some t40/50 runite junk required smithing levels from 85-99. And it has its own untradeable benefits, so there isn't really a reason punishing players for staying behind in levels for a while. Unless of course this suggestion is actually for OS, in which that would make perfectly sense. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
Quick Fixes: Invention
