Initial thread changed. There was an idea for 2h shields by Deltaslug on page 6.
This sparked my imagination.
Instead of being like defenders (giving dual wield and shield abilities), they'd give two handed and shield abilities! They'd be available for ranged, magic and melee! They'd be offensive looking, with spikes on them.
They'd have another unique feature where you can choose your stance by right clicking the shield - offensive, neutral or defensive (30 second cooldown).
Offensive stance is like main hand + defender damage, along with a reduction in the effectiveness of some shield abilities.
Neutral stance Think: "Shieldbow" it's just like main hand damage, with a shield, and having defensive abilities work as they usually would.
Defensive stance is something new, where you cannot deal damage how you normally would, but your defensive abilities become stronger. Your ability damage goes to 0. Shield armour value is doubled and some defensive abilities change:
Bash - deals up to 4x shield armour value as damage. Eg: t90 shield would hit 4k
Anticipation - doubled duration.
Revenge - each attack received reduces the cooldown of reflect and bash by 1 second.
Freedom - additionally clears poison and removes prayer disabling effects.
Reflect - reflects 90% of damage.
Resonance - will heal from all hits of a single bleed, rather than only the first hit.
Immortality - 40% damage reduction and revived to full health once resurrected.
Rejuvenate - heals 100% of maximum health.
Debilitate - is guaranteed to hit.
Barricade - lasts 3 seconds longer and will also reduce damage taken by other players by 40%, who are standing on the same square as you. The New Wild (instanced) <---------> Enhancing Combat and PVP
